What Is The Bike Register?
The UK has a national database for cars — the DVLA — but nothing simple and universal for bikes. The Bike Register is our attempt at the closest thing: a free, community-owned place to record who owns which bike, prove it, protect it with tags, and raise the alarm fast if it's ever stolen.

Why it exists
Nearly 49,000 bikes are recorded stolen in the UK each year, and only about one in nine ever finds its way home — largely because a recovered bike can't be matched to its owner. The Bike Register closes that gap: register your bike once, and its details are ready the moment you need them.

What it is not
It's a voluntary community register, not a legal title document — no such official register exists for bikes in the UK. But a dated, detailed record of your bike is exactly the evidence police and buyers look for, and it travels with the bike for life.
